Northwest Cherry Festival

Head to The Dalles for the 41st Annual Northwest Cherry Festival. A longtime favorite among locals and visitors alike, the festival is set in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge and showcases The Dalles’ deep agricultural heritage and Western roots. The Cherry Festival has grown in attendance, outdoor market, family-friendly activities, FUN, and 2022 is going to be even better! “This is a celebration of the blossoms, which have always been an indication of the harvest to come,” said The Dalles Chamber of Commerce President Lisa Farquharson. “We are super excited, as we are the largest per capita, sweet cherry producer, here in The Dalles, Oregon.”

The Northwest Cherry Festival takes place in downtown The Dalles from Friday, April 22nd through Sunday, April 24, 2022. The Festival includes the Gorge’s largest parade, the KODL classic car show, the great Cherry Trail, and lots of local music and bands with Little Music City in The Dalles. “You can expect more than you can do,” said Farquharson. “You can expect a carnival with Rainier Amusements and then we also have Cherry Idol, where we actually have a competition similar to American Idol, and they get to sing-off and win prizes for cash.”. You don’t want to miss the crowning of Cherry Festival Royalty, including our Little Royals, at Mid-Columbia Senior Center’s Breakfast Saturday Morning before the parade!
