For May, Mental Health Awareness Month, Aardvark is embracing our core
value of CARING with a monthly movement CHALLENGE. Aardvark is proud
to partner with a budding non-profit, TALK TO YOUR MATES, founded by
our own Jon Notary. This CHALLENGE WILL BE FREE FOR PARTICIPATION.
With this monthly CHALLENGE, Aardvark Sports Shop is looking forward
to assisting in funding the start of TALK TO YOUR MATES THROUGH THE
SALE OF CO-branded merchandise and providing donation
opportunities.WHAT IS THE TTYM CHALLENGE 150 X 4? A challenge for the
month of May in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. Lets
prioritize mental health and connection by committing to 150 minutes
of moderate-intensity exercise per week. Thats just 30 minutes 5 days
of the week which can significantly improve our mental health,
potentially reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress,
while boosting mood, self-esteem, and overall well-being. Whether its
a walk, run, pilates, dancing, or hitting the gym, every step counts.
During the challenge, do your best to do at least one of these 5 - 30
minute sessions of activity with a buddy! Every conversation counts
too, so TALK TO YOUR MATES and together lets move for our minds and
feel the difference. Whos in?
WHY? because engaging in 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity
exercise can significantly improve mental health, potentially reducing
symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress, while boosting mood,
self-esteem, and overall well-beingand being side by side with someone
invites conversation and encouragement.
