The CHAMPIONSHIP CONSISTS OF 18 HOLES, Stroke Play - Gross and Net
Scoring. Selected Drive, Alternate- Shot format. The team Handicap is
calculated by taking 40% of the FATHER’s plus 40% of the son’s
course handicap and combining the two to create a Team Handicap.
Teams are formed by two male amateur players who are father and son,
whose individual USGA Handicap Indexes DO NOT exceed 30.0, that are
members of any NJSGA member club or course, public or private. Players
need NOT be members of the same facility but BOTH must be members of a
NJSGA club/course. Entrants must have an ACTIVE and VALID USGA
Handicap Index through a NJSGA Member Club (public or private), which
is in good standing with the NJSGA, and must appear on that club’s
Official Handicap Roster. If a player enters a NJSGA Championship from
a public facility or a Club Without Real Estate, he must be a
permanent resident of NJ. *A father may not play with more than one
son.*
