History is made of stories – and what better way to introduce young
children to the past than through picture books! Children ages 3-9,
accompanied by an adult, are invited to an educational read-aloud
session followed by a hands-on activity. Children trace the true story
of a restless boy who becomes one of America's most iconic nature
photographers. This Storytime coincides with a photography exhibit in
the Kendra Gallery of the Westmoreland History Education Center. Call
the Westmoreland Historical Society at 724-836-1800 to give us a
headcount. The program is free but space is limited. On the day of the
program, participants will meet at the Westmoreland History Education
Center at Historic Hanna's Town. This program is generously supported
by The Mendel & Sylvia Solomon Charitable Trust through The PNC
Charitable Trust Grant Review Committee.
