Enjoy dinner and discussion focusing on the rich and varied history of African American cooking—a cuisine far beyond soul food. Author Toni Tipton-Martin will speak about the evolution of African American cooking and her book Jubilee: Recipes from Two Centuries of African American Cooking . Chef Aziza Young, an experienced chef and former contestant on Fox Network’s Hell’s Kitchen, will prepare a four course dinner interpreting recipes from Toni Tipton-Martin’s book. This event is presented in partnership with Adelphoi Village. Menu 1st Course: Gumbo Z’Herbes 2nd Course: Catfish Étouffée with Red Rice 3rd Course: Roasted Leg of Lamb with Sweet Potato Salad & Collard Greens 4th Course: Gingergread with Bourbon Chantilly Cream Wine pairing available for each course for an additional $40.
