Tour® is a drug awareness and prevention program that takes you into
the life experiences of a teen addicted to drugs. It’s an experience
that will create a lasting impact on all who attend. The Reality Tour
Includes: Dramatic presentation of choices made and consequences of a
teen on drugs. Discussions pertaining to drug and alcohol use in
Butler County. Questions and answers with youth in recovery and law
enforcement officials. A great way for adults to start the
conversation with youth about alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use!
Requirements: To attend child MUST be at least 10 years old and
attend with THEIR parent or legal guardian. (Do not bring your
child’s ‘friend’ without their parent. They will not be
permitted to attend without their own parent.) Cancellations: No
refunds for no-shows or cancellations. (Preparations are made in
advance for each attendee). In the event there are not enough
signups for your selected Tour date, you will be assigned and
confirmed for a future date. You will be notified to disregard email
reminders of the cancelled date and your registration will be
transferred to the upcoming date. Arrival and Tour: Arrive by 5:45 pm
at Westmoreland County Courthouse, 2 North Main Street, Greensburg,
PA 15601 Family Health Policy: The Family Health Policy, a project of
the non-profit CANDLE, Inc, is a way to make substance abuse
prevention a priority for your family by using routine annual drug
testing as a re-curring reminder. As governed by the Family Health
Policy, drug testing is not done out of suspicion or distrust, but
rather it accepted like an annual doctor visit or dental check up.
Enrollment is recommended when your child is a pre-teen, so by the
time your son or daughter is old enough to ask for the car keys, drug
testing will be an accepted routine. Along the way, you will have
afforded your child an ironclad excuse when pressured by peers.

Policy.
