Come enjoy the beautiful woods of western Pennsylvania, while running
alongside the 2021 RIVER OF THE YEAR, the Shenango RIVER. This TRAIL
RACE WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE BEAUTIFUL SHENANGO TRAIL. Used in the
1800s as a TRAIL FOR A CANAL SYSTEM, the canal's tow path became a
hiking TRAIL IN THE MID-20th century, then was neglected, and almost
reclaimed by nature. Now after many years of work, the Shenango hiking
TRAIL HAS BEEN BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY! This TRAIL
RACE WILL BE POINT TO POINT, starting at the Big Bend TRAIL HEAD, and
finishing at the beautiful Kidds Mill Covered Bridge. This will be a
perfect race for beginners looking to try out TRAIL RUNNING FOR THE
FIRST TIME. For seasoned TRAIL RUNNER, it will be a great course for a
flat and fast workout!Registration: There will be no Race Day
registration. Register by April 15th to receive a t-shirt guaranteed
