Hollabaugh Bros., Inc. is thrilled to announce the inaugural Bruce
Hollabaugh 5K Memorial Run, set to take place on April 13, 2025, as
part of the companys yearlong 70th Anniversary celebrations. The
event, which aims to raise funds for the Bruce A. Hollabaugh Memorial
Endowment Fund, will be run throughout our beautifully blooming
orchards on the family farm. Our 4th Generation family farm has been
growing apples since 1955! As 2025 marks the farms 70th anniversary,
the family is working hard to commemorate this significant milestone
with a variety of events throughout the year. The one we are most
excited about, however, is our first annual Bruce Hollabaugh 5K
Memorial Run, to be hosted here on the farm. In March of 2022, our
family and farm was turned upside down when we unexpectedly lost third
generation family member, Bruce, at the age of 41. Production manager
at Hollabaughs, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend: he had
numerous titles, but despite the many hats he wore, he always found
time to support his community, too. Since his passing, the Hollabaugh
family has adopted the mantra For Bruce, We Will Farm. We also wanted
to continue his legacy in the community and in all the areas he was so
passionate about in life. Bruces parents, Brad and Kay, started the
Bruce A. Hollabaugh Memorial Endowment Fund* earlier this year.
Managed by the Adams County Community Foundation, the fund will
benefit the charities and community initiatives for which Bruce cared
deeply during his life. Net proceeds from the race will benefit the
Endowment Fund. Make plans to join us as a runner or walker and help
to support many good causes and organizations throughout the Upper
Adams Community and beyond. The race will kick off at 9am. We will
have food truck(s), raffles, awards, and more. Take advantage of our
Early Bird rate of $30 through February 28, 2025. Entry fee increase
to $40 beginning March 1st. Registration includes a race t-shirt and
commemorative medal. * The Bruce A. Hollabaugh Memorial Fund is a
component fund of the Adams County Community Foundation. The official
registration and financial information of Adams County Community
Foundation may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State
by calling toll-free 800-732-0999. Registration does not imply
endorsement.
