Second Sunday Sound Meditation - A Sanctuary of Healing Sound and Voice

A SOUND SANCTUARY WHERE WE CONNECT WITH THE HEALING FIELD FOR TRANSFORMATION, peace and connection with all that we are in unity and love. Upon entering the room, people comment they feel the peace immediately. At the beginning of the MEDITATION, also called SOUND JOURNEY OR SOUND IMMERSION("bath"), you are invited to set the intention for what you want or need. Or you may just simply sit or lie on the floor and let the SOUND VIBRATIONS SOOTHE AND NOURISH YOUR HEART, mind and soul. The beautiful SOUNDS AND VOICES CREATE A SONIC FIELD OF HEALING, peace and community. We will intuitively use acoustic instruments and our VOICES WOVEN THROUGHOUT OUR SOUND JOURNEY TOGETHER. The resonant frequencies are able to affect our brainwaves and also by stimulating the vagus nerve for optimum health, bringing US into a parasympathetic dominant state of relaxation where we receive a boost to our immune system and to our feel-good hormones. The stress and anxiety hormones are decreased in this state, as it does with any effective SOUND JOURNEY. This will be another special evening and may sell out again. Please register early if you can. YO_U MAY BRING A MAT OR BLANKET OR WHATEVER _you would like to feel most comfortable. There are chairs and pillows available if you prefer. We use a variety of acoustic indigenous instruments and this varies each month. We also have special guests at times featuring unique instruments such as didgeridoo, handpan, sitar, harmonium, etc. Our monthly instruments are selected according to the needs of the group. We choose from an assortment of different types of metal bowls, crystal bowls, crystal pyramids, crystal tuning fork, metal tuning forks, shamanic rattles, shakers, whistles and rainsticks, gongs, chimes, drums, shruti box, harp, flutes, kyeezees, sistrums, frame drum improvisational voice and vocal language of light, light weaving and the Divine Feminine Voice Collective. We are professional sound therapists, all of us having studied sound, voice and music in varying degrees. In addition, among us are experienced healing energy practitioners, Reiki practitioners, licensed massage therapists, professional vocalists and musicians, voice teachers, drum circle facilitator, guitar and piano teacher, published authors, ordained minister, worship leader and fine artist. We have studied with some of the best sound healing instructors and are committed to continuing education. We are committed to bringing you the best in both the art and science of sound healing, not only in our group events but in our individual practices with wisdom, integrity and love. The sound meditation last approximately one hour, and is followed by an optional 1/2 hour afterglow time of silence, reflection and sharing. This sometimes is a time of questions and answers. We look forward to having you join us. Please allow enough time to settle in and get comfortable, as we do try to start on time.
