The purpose of this course is to familiarize SENIOR OFFICIALS
(executives, elected and appointed OFFICIALS, city/county managers,
agency administrators, etc.) with their role in supporting INCIDENT
MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (NIMS). This
course has been customized to be Pennsylvania and Allegheny specific.
The course will provide an OVERVIEW OF THE MUNICIPAL REQUIREMENTS, as
per PA Title 35, in regard to emergency management and the role and
responsibilities of the municipal emergency management coordinator.
