AND EMPOWERING THINGS YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF. Join us for a workshop
about boundaries where we will learn the important role they play in
caring for ourselves as well as creating healthy relationships.
In this workshop we will:
1. Identify types and characteristics of unhealthy boundaries
2. Define healthy boundaries and what they look like
3. Explore sources for and models of boundaries in our early lives
4. Understanding the connection between self awareness and boundaries
5. Look at ways we can start to make changes to boundaries in our
lives

About the presenter:
Gretchen Hoffer, MA, NCC, LPC has been working in the field of mental
health for over 17 years. She received her bachelors degree in
Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. In fall 2005,
Gretchen entered Gallaudet University to obtain her masters degree in
Mental Health Counseling with a focus on working with the Deaf and
Hard of Hearing. She graduated with honors from Gallaudet in May 2007
and obtained her counselor certification through the National Board of
Certified Counselors (NBCC). She has worked in community mental health
since graduating from Gallaudet University focusing on individual,
group, and couples therapy. She has experience working in the fields
of both mental health and substance abuse. Gretchen received her
License as Professional Counselor in 2009.
She started working in private practice at the Village in early 2013
and came on full time in August 2014. She is fluent in American Sign
Language (ASL) and has a passion for working in the fields of
trauma/PTSD, substance abuse, relationship issues, and managing mood
disorders.
