Ever wanted to do business with the City of PHILADELPHIA Rebuild Initiative? Participate in the PHILADELPHIA Commerce Department Emerging Vendors Program (EVP)?  Add your name to the list of qualified vendors by getting certified as a MINORITY/WOMEN BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (MWBE)? Come hear about new Commerce Department programs, how you can prepare to do business with the Rebuild Initiative and get your MWBE certification. As part of our mission to support Black business in Overbrook and throughout our West PHILADELPHIA communities, the 63rd Street Business Association, BOOST CDC [https://www.boostcdc.com] and Overbrook West Neighbors [http://www.overbrookwestneighbors.com] (OWN) CDC will  provide this Power Up Your Business Workshop. Tim Roundtree Deputy Director of Diversity & Inclusion for the City of PHILADELPHIA's Rebuild Initiative [https://www.phila.gov/programs/rebuild/] will be on hand to share how you can secure contracting OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE REBUILD PROGRAM. Malyka Sankofa, CAPP, Director of  The Enterprise Center [http://www.theenterprisecenter.com] will provide the MWBE training certification.  Please join us! It will be an informative and helpful session to instruct you on ways you can expand your business by becoming certified to do business with The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) and the Rebuild Initiative. City departments use the OEO registry when purchasing goods and services. With your certification, your business can be listed on the OEO registry giving you the potential opportunity to bid on a number of contracting opportunities. Made possible with support from the Power Up Your Business [https://www.ccp.edu/business-and-industry/power-your-business] program and the Philadelphia Department of Commerce [https://www.phila.gov/departments/department-of-commerce/] Light refreshments provided by Star Fusion [http://www.starfusionrestaurant.com/], an Overbrook neighbor and Power Up Your Business program graduate.
