“Because I Said Sew” DeCreed Sewing Class

CLASS DESCRIPTION: beginners CLASS ($300) 9am-4pm (1hr lunch break) * student will learn the basic key tools in this beginners sewing class. Below will list everything that you’ll learn throughout this class;  (Task to learn)  * free hand cutting  * creating simple garments w/ basic shapes  * how to take proper measurements  * straight stitch on garments * replacing needles * whining needles * threading machine  * settings on machine  * learning basic sewing terms Items in kit: * Scissors * Notebook * Hand needles * Machine needles * Measuring tape * Bobbins * Thread * Straight pins  * Pin cushion  * Seam ripper * Materials for samples CLASS DESCRIPTION: advanced CLASS ($385) 9am-4pm (1hr lunch break)     •student will learn how to drape on mannequins and apply these draping to create their own patterns. Below will list everything that you’ll learn throughout this class;  (Task to learn) * operating the serger  * threading the serger  * draping  * markings on draping  * princess seams  * pattern making  * dart placement  * pattern-making terms  Items in kit: * Scissors * Note Book * hand needles * machine needles * measuring tape * bobbins  * thread  * straight pins * pin cushion * seam ripper * materials for samples * tailor's chalk * pattern paper  * ruler  * pencils  Students are required to pay a deposit ($100) to secure their seat. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE! The remaining balance, is required the morning of the class.
