The Angel Venture Fair (AVF), which takes place on from Thursday,
April 30th 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Union League, brings together
the largest gathering of Angel Investors and Entrepreneurs in the
Mid-Atlantic region and has showcased over 500 companies in the last
20 years. The program is a total community effort from start to
finish, with every angel group in the Mid-Atlantic receiving pertinent
information on the AVF and sending their members to attend & scout the
fair. Applicants to the AVF are reviewed by 80 judges (made up of
angels and conduits to angels) and 34 lucky entrepreneurs (out of
hundreds) are selected to showcase their new venture on the day of the
fair. Please note The Union League has a dress code policy of formal
business attire that is strictly enforced: you will not be allowed
to enter the building if dressed otherwise. SCHEDULE OF EVENT DAY 7:30
a.m. - Doors open 7:30 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. - **Attendee check-in &
Breakfast 8:00 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. – Welcoming remarks 8:10 a.m. to
8:50 a.m. - All 34 companies give a 30 second pitch in Lincoln Hall
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Presentations given by Non-University
Companies in breakout rooms; Networking and visiting company
booths/tables 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Lunch 1:00 p.m. – 1:10
p.m. - David Freschman Award presented 1:10 - 1:15 p.m. - Most
Promising University Company award presented. 1:15 p.m. to 1:55 p.m. -
Keynote Speaker 2:00 pm. to 2:10 p.m. - All 34 companies give a 30
second pitch in Lincoln Hall 2:10 p.m. to 3 p.m. - Networking and
visiting company booths/tables **In an effort to make your check-in
process as smooth as possible on event day, you will be required to
print your name tag at home or office and bring it with you. Your name
tag will serve as your ticket and allow you entry into the fair. The
AVF will provide you with a name tag holder. Instructions on how to
print your name tag will be emailed to you prior to event day.
