The PHILADELPHIA Food Access Collaborative invites you to a VOLUNTEER
RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION TRAINING ON TUESDAY, January 21st from
5:30-7:00pm at the Municipal Service Building (1401 JFK Blvd.), 16th
Floor, Room E. Nancy Sutter, Non-Profit and VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATION
PROFESSOR AT CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE AND MONTGOMERY COMMUNITY COLLEGE,
will be leading the TRAINING. The goal of this TRAINING IS TO PROVIDE
SUPPORT TO MEAL SITE AND FOOD PANTRY PROVIDERS INTERESTED IN
DEVELOPING VALUABLE AND LASTING PARTNERSHIPS WITH VOLUNTEERS. The
TRAINING WILL COVER STRATEGIES TO RECRUIT VOLUNTEERS SUCH AS CREATING
A MARKETING MESSAGE AND ADVERTISING THE OPPORTUNITY ONLINE AND IN THE
COMMUNITY. In addition, it will cover best practices to manage and
retain VOLUNTEERS. Please come prepared with a photo ID to obtain
a visitors pass for the building. MSB is most accessible by public
transportation, although there are a few parking garages within
