Raptors...four days of just raptors! The goal of this workshop is to help you build confidence in your raptor field techniques. Learn new methods or hone existing skills at world-renowned Hawk Mountain Sanctuary during the spectacular Fall migration. Throughout the course you will receive hands-on learning experiences with raptor: trapping methods; handling; banding; measurements; blood sampling; broadcast call surveys; telemetry and more. Students will participate directly in real research projects with significant individual interaction and training.
The course can be taken for one credit from UW-Stevens Point Outreach Program (optional). No special training is necessary, and the class is open to the public.
