Any athlete who is motivated to improve in any sport must work hard in
the offseason. CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS ARE NO EXCEPTION! Building
fitness over the SUMMER IS IMPERATIVE TO RUNNING YOUR FASTEST IN THE
FALL. Whether you're gearing up for the CROSS COUNTRY SEASON OR JUST
LOOKING TO GET A LITTLE WORK IN TO HELP YOU OUT NEXT TRACK SEASON, our
coaches are here to help you prepare for a season full of PRs and
medals!Rather than going it alone, train with us this summer! Each
session will begin with a warmup tailored to the workout. We will
cycle through a variety of workouts throughout the summer to help
build conditioning as well as showcase some sample workouts could be
incorporated into the runner's summer training. Also included will
be a few short discussions on relevant topics such as race preparation
and injury prevention gleaning from the wealth of experience of our
coaches.
Every runner will receive a Running Ahrens gift on the final night!

WHERE?
BLAKELY BOROUGH RECREATIONAL COMPLEX
Sessions will be held at the Blakely Borough Recreational Complex
(formerly known as Mellow Park). We will meet next to the tennis
courts and use the park as well as the heritage trail for our
workouts.

COACHES
ROB AHRENS - Coach Ahrens has won the Hershey Half Marathon,
Scranton Half Marathon, and Binghamton Bridge Run in addition to
placing in the top 5 in the Steamtown Marathon three times. He has 9
years of high school and college coaching experience. He has coached
multiple district champions and state medalists as well as Foot Locker
Cross Country Champion Tessa Barrett. Since 2018 he has served as
the Head Women's and Men's Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at
Marywood University where he was voted Atlantic East Conference Men's
and Women's Coach of the Year.
KEVIN BORRELLI - Coach Kevin has 20 years of running experience. He
works hard not only to improve upon his own achievements but also
helping others reach their goals. He has won district titles and
state medals in high school, was a consistent top 5 runner at Duquesne
University, and has continued to dominate the local running scene
winning the Steamtown Marathon, Scranton Half Marathon, and Binghamton
Bridge Run. He now coaches at Marywood University where he was named
regional coach of the year on the way to taking the women's cross
country team to the national meet in 2013.

attending RUNNING AHRENS CROSS COUNTRY CAMP: a week-long camp with
