Adventure Cycling Monday Beginners Ride-(13/14mph, 15-20 miles)

ADVENTURE CYCLING MONDAY BEGINNERS RIDE. This will be occurring every other MONDAY STARTING APRIL 3RD @ 5:30 pm. (Some rides will shift due to Holidays or other conflicts.) All rides will be posted to meetup.com. Rides will be planned to minimize hills and highly traveled roads, but roads with traffic are sometimes unavoidable when going from one lightly used road to the next. The ride pace is planned to be approximately 13-14 mph. The first couple rides will be between 15 and 20 MILES AND DISTANCE WILL BE ADDED AS THE YEAR PROGRESSES AND BASED ON FEEDBACK FROM THE JOINING RIDERS. If you have little or no experience road riding this is an excellent opportunity to try it out with the support of others and learn more about yourself and your riding abilities. Bikes for this type of riding will be road bikes (drop handle bars) or hybrid bikes with skinny tires. Requirements: 1) Helmet Highly recommended: 1) Front and rear lights 2) Personal identification such as a driver’s license or RoadID 3) Emergency contact information 4) At least one water bottle with water or a sports drink.
