oin Revolutionary Care artists Amber Doe, Bekezela Mguni, and Alisha B
Wormsley for a closing ritual at CONTEMPORARY CRAFT, co-hosted by
Sibyls Shrine. Rooted in the spirit of Revolutionary Care, this
gathering centers Black femme care, sovereignty, and collective
healing as both practice and offering.
Through guided ritual, participants are invited into a shared space of
reflection, grounding, and intention-setting—honoring ancestral
knowledge, embodied presence, and the power of communal care. Drawing
from each artist’s interdisciplinary practice, the ritual weaves
together gesture, voice, and spiritual inquiry to hold space for
restoration and affirmation. As a closing to the exhibition, this
event offers a moment to gather, witness, and carry forward the
exhibition’s call: to imagine and enact care as a liberatory force,
sustained through community, ritual, and the ongoing work of
remembrance.
Free and open to the public, registration required.
