development for educators responsible for improving K-12 instruction

MODULE 1: _The Challenge of Learning to Read_ – Explores the
nature of skilled reading: the progression of reading development; the
reasons why many children do not become good readers; the influences
of biological, linguistic, environmental, and instructional factors in
learning to read; and the components of effective reading instruction.
Recommended Modules for:
K-2 Teachers: MODULES 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 9
3-5 Teachers: Modules 1, 3, 4, 6, and 10
Reading Specialists, K-12 Special Educators, ESL Teachers - Please
select Modules that will support the instructional needs of your
students.
Target Audience:_ K-3 General Education Teachers, K-12 Special
