In the 17th century Shakespearean actors performed in pubs, at fairs
and on the street; they had to compete against the noise of the crowd
who shouted, hurled oranges and tried to join in with their
performance. Let's recreate that scene on the rooftop bar of MARIO'S
EAST SIDE SALOON! We hope you won't need to throw oranges though :)GET

Join us and The New Renaissance Theatre Company to experience
Shakespeare the way it was intended: with food and drink. The audience
will pick the scenes. The audience will pick the actors and role the
actor plays. Shakespeare’s actors didn't need rehearsal and neither
do we! Find out why #Shakespeare worked that way and experience how
fast-paced and fun his plays can be.
Discover The New Renaissance Theatre Company and their The Unrehearsed
Shakespeare Project in time to catch their summer tour of "The Taming
of the Shrew" and "The Tragedie of Macbeth". Our unique performance
style is based upon the conditions of Shakespeare’s own company,
rooted deeply in #English tradition.
Meet Andy Kirtland, Managing Director of NRTC and cast members…..

What attendees should expect: Our aim is to introduce you to the
unrehearsed cue script technique, an historically informed practiced
based upon Shakespeare’s working conditions, our own research and
experience. It doesn't matter how well attendees are acquainted with
Shakespeare. Those who know him well will see something different.
Those who don’t know him will make a new friend!
