Philip Nelson is a Professor of Biophysics at the University of
Pennsylvania. His stimulating talk will focus on the intersection of
physical light and retinal perception. While this is not a talk about
the Skyspace, experiencing it has led many of us to wonder more deeply
about visual perception. Dr. Nelson will explore how the question,
"What is light?" leads us to deeper understanding of how we see, and
also to some powerful new ways to see things. Dr Nelson is a widely
published authority in his field who also wins kudos as a teacher able
to make his subject relatable to the lay public. This is a speaker
presentation / fund raiser. Please reserve your spot on-line as we
