16h Annual YWCA York Y-Tri VISIT WEBSITE FOR DETAILS: https://www.ywcayork.org/ytri/ Date: June 28th, 2020 Place: Lake Redman, 296 Hess Farm Road, York, PA 17403 Type: Sprint Triathlon Distance: 500 yd swim, 15 mile bike and 5k Course Information: Swim – 500 yard enclosed open water swim in Lake Redman. Swimmers will be set off in waves that will be determined by cap color. Wet Suits are permitted with water temperature 78 degrees and below. Water temperature will be provided to registered participants prior to the event. Please note: Water samples are collected regularly by the York Water Company Bike- The bike route is a scenic 15 mile hilly course on back roads. Roads are not closed to traffic. Helmets are required. Run - The run course is a rolling hill 5k out and back. Timing: This event will be professionally chip timed by Racine Multisports. Searchable race results will be provided so your follower can track you on their Smart phones or web devices. Awards Categories: Top overall Male and Female Top 3 individual age groups for both men and women 14 – 19, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35-39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, 70+ Event Rules: The Y-Tri is not a sanctioned event but will follow USAT Rules. Volunteers: Fire Police and the Wright Traffic Control Company will be placed in key areas on the bike and run routes for traffic control. Volunteers will be also be at key areas to provide directional assistance and to cheer on athletes. Parking: The venue is located at the intersection of Lake Road and Hess Farm Road at the York Water Company Training Center. There is plenty of parking on site at the venue. However, there is only one road in and out of the venue that will be closed off for the bikers and runners exiting and entering transition. Athletes and spectators who park in the venue must stay until all participants have completed the race. Entrance road to the venue closes at 7:00am Other Parking options: Participants can drop off gear at venue and then proceed to the Lake Redman Boat Launch(1/4 mile up the road(west of the venue) or Spartan Road parking lots(1/4 mile down the road east of the venue) and walk back to the venue.
