About the Facilitators:
EMILY (SAT SUKH)
Sat Sukh came into the world with a song in her heart. Her life is
dedicated to the intricately related studies of sound, music, art, and
yoga. Through these studies she continually reaches deep
self-knowledge, heartfelt compassion for humanity, and grateful awe
for the power of vibration. Sat Sukh spent most of her formative years
in classic vocal techniques training and performance, studying with
university professors of Vocal Music. Iyengar Yoga found her at 16,
and she has devoted nearly 20 years of her life to daily practice and
study of yogic arts. She is in a constant state of experiential
understanding of the trifecta that is the sound current: Sphota –
transcendental sound, Nāda – supersonic sound, and Dhvani – sound
that is heard by the human ear. Sat Sukh shares mantra and sacred song
with unbridled joy and appreciation. Her performances are a devotional
practice in action. Her melodies and voice carry the sound current to
invoke and awaken the divine qualities latent within the heart of
humanity.
ALEXANDRA (UPMA KAUR)
Alexandra Seaman is a lover of all things Holy. A born teacher and
inspired communicator, she has devoted her life to sharing the
teachings of yoga and sacred sound. Her devotion is to the revival of
the community spirit, and to the healing and upliftment of ourselves,
our families, and friends.
In the years since her first savasana, Alex has earned certifications
in Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, children’s yoga, Mindfulness I and
II certifications through Mindful Schools, and a Reiki Level II and
Bars Certification through Access Consciousness. This year, she
completed an 8-day SuperHealth training for addiction and recovery.
She began by teaching children in Charleston’s downtown Public
Schools, and is currently writing the curriculum for what she believes
to be the nation’s first in-school, 200-hr, Yoga Alliance certified
Teacher Training for High Schoolers. She’s taught in schools, in top
studios, and in corporate settings for people of all ages and from all
backgrounds.
For Alex, yoga is a platform through which to teach about our Human
Potential and Interrelation. Whether she’s sharing the gifts of
Kundalini and how to generate energy by your own will, the calming
techniques of Hatha and how to physically dwell in the body, or some
fusion in order to best meet the needs of whomever is front of her,
one thing remains consistent: her commitment to creating a heartfelt,
embodied experience in Love.
DANIEL (JAI JOT)
Daniel Jai Jot Higuera is a yogi, musician and co-founder of Moon &
Jai. As a professionally trained jazz percussionist, he widened his
musical path to include the healing sounds of ancient traditions after
embarking on his journey with yoga and meditation. Daniel has since
performed with some of the most recognized sacred chant artists in the
world such as Snatam and Ajeet Kaur. When not touring or recording, he
teaches Kundalini Yoga, facilitates sound healings, and performs music
locally in Miami, FL. Daniel’s in-depth Kundalini Yoga and
Meditation practice, along with his devotion to wisdom, has guided him
through life's challenging surprises and has led to a calling to share
these transformative practices with others. He completed his Kundalini
Yoga teacher training in 2014 and has gone on to study other healing
avenues. He is deeply inspired to share and experience the beautiful
methods in which healing occurs.
