CONFERENCE IS STUDENT HEALTH SERVICE ADMINISTRATORS WHO ARE IN
DECISION MAKING POSITIONS AND WHO ARE INTERESTED IN SHARING
EXPERIENCES AND CONCERNS ABOUT COLLEGE HEALTH IN AN INFORMAL SETTING.
The focus of the conference is on items of current and future interest
in college health.
The hallmark of the Sunbelt Directors and Administrators Conference
is to share concerns and solutions among knowledgeable and
experienced peers in college health. The final agenda is set by
consensus of those in attendance.
Participants are asked to identify topics, make presentations or lead
discussions. If you would like to hear from colleagues on a particular
subject, ask them to step forward. If you are willing to lead a
discussion concerning an area of interest, please contact Cecil Price
or Darren Aaron.

The meeting will be held at the Mills House, located in the heart of
downtown Charleston at 115 Meeting Street. Rooms have been reserved at
a special rate of $184 per night. _This special rate is guaranteed

TRANSPORTATION:
CHARLESTON is served by several major airlines. The airport is located
in CHARLESTON, a 15 mile/30 minute drive to the hotel. For more
airport information, please visit, Charleston International Airport
[http://www.chs-airport.com/]. Please be aware that parking is
limited and expensive in the city. Once your car is parked, walking or
the use of the free “DASH” shuttle bus
[https://www.ridecarta.com/] will meet virtually all of your downtown
transportation needs. This shuttle bus stops at various locations in
the historical area of downtown Charleston. There is a parking garage
beside the Mill House with direct access to the hotel from the garage.
Rates are hourly with a $22 per day maximum, but no “in-and-out”
access. The Mills House also offers valet parking ($32 per day plus
tax).

Yes, if you are unable to attend, you are welcome to send someone else

MAY I EXTEND MY STAY AT GROUP RATES?
SCHA has negotiated a special rate for a block of rooms. The
reservation block has some rooms built in for people wishing to stay
Friday and Saturday nights. If you do not receive the negotiated
rates for your extended stay, please contact aarondo@wfu.edu and I can
see if I can assist in obtaining those for you. Once the block of
rooms are sold out, you might be asked to pay a higher rate.
DO I HAVE TO BRING MY PRINTED TICKET TO THE EVENT?
No, you do not need to bring your printed ticket to this event.
WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
Once you are registered, you may cancel your registration by

WHEN DOES THE MEETING BEGIN?
On site check in begins on Wednesday, July 17 at 3:00 pm. The first
event is a reception that evening at 6:00 pm. Meetings begin on
Thursday, July 18 with breakfast at 7:30 am. The meeting concludes
around Noon on Friday, July 19.
WILL THERE BE AN ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT?
This year we are not hosting a tournament. However, CHARLESTON has

WILL THERE BE A RAVENEL BRIDGE WALK ON THURSDAY EVENING?
Yes - Transportation will be provided for those interested in walking
across the Ravenel Bridge

on Thursday evening. Last year almost thirty people enjoyed this
energizing, fun walk. This is a great opportunity to get to know
your colleagues, move your body, enjoy a spectacular breeze, and some
amazing scenery. Please indicate your level of interest when you
register. You are welcome to bring friends and family with you. We
will arrange transportation to and from the bridge for this walk.
ARE FAMILY MEMBERS ALLOWED AT THE RECEPTIONS?
Yes, you are welcome to bring family members to the receptions on
Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
