Focus: The Civil War & More
Tours leave from Cherry Hill School starting at 9:00 am or 10:00 am. This 3-hour tour winds through the area’s deep roots in military history, with stops at Fort Howell, Mitchelville Freedom Park, Fort Sherman, and Fort Walker and the Steam Gun. It continues on to Zion Chapel of Ease Cemetery. Ages 12 and up, please.
NOTE: This is a moderate ride, with an estimated tour time of around 3 hours.
Helmets are required; bug spray, water, and sunscreen are recommended.
Rides leave from Cherry Hill School, 210 Dillon Road, corner of Beach City and Dillon Roads. Please arrive 1/2 hour prior to departure.

Focus: Forts & The Civil War
The morning docent-led trolley tour, leaving at 9:00 am and 9:30 am from Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn visits Fort Howell, Fort Walker, and The Headlands/Steam Gun site. In addition to these military sites, you’ll visit the site of Mitchelville, the first freedman’s community in the United States.
This is a "stay with your own trolley" tour and lasts over 3 & 1/2 hours.

Focus: 4000 years of Hilton Head Island
This afternoon docent-led tour, leaving at 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm from Coastal Discovery Museum, will explore 4000 years of Hilton Head Island, all within Sea Pines Plantation. Visit Harbourtown and the Charles Fraser Memorial to hear about the beginnings of modern development, Braddock Point Cemetery, a Gullah cemetery, the Stoney/Baynard plantation house and slave quarter ruins, and finish at the Sea Pines Shell Ring to hear about the wonderful discoveries of the latest archaeological dig.

The Gullah Museum will be at Coastal Discovery Museum to tell the stories and display their information on the Gullah culture and their efforts to preserve the culture today.
Melly Mel's catering will be available on-site at Coastal Discovery Museum from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm serving up delicious BBQ and more for an additional price.
