SOUTH DAKOTA SPECIAL EDUCATION CONFERENCE IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT AND
ENGAGE SPECIAL EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS ACROSS THE STATE. This year’s
CONFERENCE OFFERS SESSIONS FOCUSED ON KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO HELP
STUDENTS TO SUCCEED IN THEIR CLASSROOMS, a place to network and
exchange ideas with other SPECIAL EDUCATORS, and an inspiring keynote
address by Ruth Herman Wells. The theme is “It will be a blast”,
reflecting the CONFERENCE’s location in historic DEADWOOD, SOUTH
DAKOTA. This CONFERENCE HAS OCCURRED FOR 20+ years and is hosted by
The Center for Disabilities on behalf of the SOUTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT
OF EDUCATION, SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS. With a yearly attendance of
over 400 it is the “go to” event for SPECIAL EDUCATORS IN SOUTH
