JA Inspire presented by Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South

WHAT: JA INSPIRE PRESENTED BY JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF MEMPHIS AND THE MID-SOUTH  WHEN: Tuesday, May 16 - Thursday, May 18 from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm   WHERE: Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove Rd, Memphis, TN 38120    EVENT DETAILS:  JA Inspire is an immersive program that includes a three-day, hands-on career expo for 8th grade students. It is a powerful, interactive experience that brings together industry leaders and schools for an exciting look into fast-growing, high-demand careers available in our region. It is more than a career fair; it exposes students to diverse career pathways and helps launch them into their future—high school, college, careers, and beyond. Simply, this event offers students the opportunity to learn about careers directly from industry leaders in time to prepare themselves for life after high school graduation. This educational event gives students an in-depth look into a variety of career opportunities that are aligned with their interests, skills, and talents. At JA Inspire, students will learn about and gain exposure to multiple career pathways and industries across the Mid-South including:  • Agriculture, food and natural resources • Architecture and construction • Arts, A/V technology and communication • Health science • Hospitality and tourism • Manufacturing • Marketing • STEAM • Transportation, distribution and logistics    JA Inspire provides a creative look at various job options through a combination of classroom learning and robust, interactive job exploration. JA Inspire Virtual is going on now and the in-person event will take place in May.
