Join us for a comprehensive walking tour of the Eastern Flank of the
Franklin BATTLEFIELD. The tour focuses on many elements of the Battle
of Franklin, explaining why it occurred, the arrival of the Federal
and Confederate armies, and details of what became known as one of the
greatest single assaults of the Civil War. The tour will take you to a
number of locations on the field where crucial portions of the battle
unfolded, from the Confederate attack to the devastating impact of the
Federal artillery. Walk among the open fields and see the landscape
that pushed Loring’s Division of the Confederate army into a
dangerous railroad cut where they faced tremendous fire from the
Federal main line. Be aware this tour does not include a tour of
CARNTON. That ticket must be purchased separately. The BATTLEFIELD
TOUR LASTS APPROXIMATELY 90 MINUTES AND TAKES PLACE ENTIRELY OUTDOORS.
Please plan accordingly. Contact Hannah Jacobs at (615) 905-0687
