Description (No class 3/17/19) Falls are the leading fatal and
non-fatal injury for our active agers. Join us for this 6 week class
to become educated on how to prevent falls, take assessments to
measure your risk of falling, and learn exercises specific to fall
prevention. We will do exercises during the class to help improve
strength, balance, speed, power, agility and coordination to reduce
your fall risk, while educating participants on risk factors. This
class is held once a week for 6 weeks and focuses on assessments,
educational tips and drills specific to Fall Prevention that helps
improve strength, balance, speed, power, agility and coordination. The
class consist of 30-45 minutes of active physical movement,
incorporating breaks for recovery while educating participants on risk
factors and identifying opportunities to reduce their fall risk. Age
