WHAT IS THE OPEN COFFEE CLUB?
THIS MEETUP WILL BE A REGULAR (2ND THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH) MEETUP
THAT REVOLVES AROUND BUSINESS, TECH, WHAT YOU'RE WORKING ON, AND
MEETING NEW PEOPLE.
THE IDEA WAS ORIGINALLY STARTED BY SAUL KLEIN IN THE UK TO
"ENCOURAGE ENTREPRENEURS, DEVELOPERS, AND INVESTORS TO ORGANIZE
REAL-WORLD INFORMAL MEETUPS TO CHAT, NETWORK AND GROW."
DEMOING AND TALKING ABOUT WHAT YOU'VE BEEN WORKING ON IS HIGHLY
ENCOURAGED.
ALSO, WE'LL OCCASIONALLY HAVE A GUEST SPEAKER/PRESENTER TALKING ABOUT
THEIR OWN BUSINESS.
WILL THERE BE NAME TAGS?
Uh, no.
WHO SHOULD COME?
Everyone and anyone that is truly interested in learning what other
creators, makers, entrepreneurs, and investors are up to in Knoxville.
WHO IS THIS EVENT NOT FOR?
If you're looking to "hard sell" anything, not for you. Sorry folks,
but that means no pitching wares like financial planning or insurance.
Just isn't that sort of event.
That said, if you've got something truly new and unique (and that you
created yourself, not that you've signed up to sell for some other
business), feel free to talk about it and demo it with others around
you.
WILL THERE BE FREE COFFEE?
Yes, yes there will be. Nothing too fancy though, so if you want a
half-caf-triple-espresso non-fat vanilla latte, BYO.
CAN I STICK AROUND AFTERWARD?
Yep! In fact, it's encouraged that you post up for a bit (during or
after the event) to get stuff done.
CoWorking Knoxville [https://coworkingknoxville.com] is allowing any
participants to stick around for the morning (until 12 PM) after the
event for free.
Treat this as an additional reason to break from your typical daily
routine and do some work in the wild.
Collaborate with a new person you just met that morning or continue to
hash out an idea with someone you've been working with for a while
now.
Then, go grab lunch!
HOW OFTEN IS IT?
We're meeting every second Thursday morning of the month.
WHERE IS IT?
CoWorking Knoxville in the Bearden area of West Knoxville (near
Kingston Pike and Northshore). It's a great place to meet and work.
