American gospel, soul, and R&B singer, Chris Blue was already a
seasoned performer when he won season 12 of NBC's popular reality
television singing competition The Voice. Born in Glendale, Arizona
and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Blue was the youngest of seven
children and began singing in church at the age of three. Ordained at
15, he became a worship leader at his Methodist church, and began
performing with his siblings under the the moniker, the Blue Brothers,
eventually making their debut on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel Show.
