IJAMS BIRD-ABOUTS: Christmas Bird Count

RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 10 AND UP IJAMS BIRD-ABOUTS ARE MONTHLY FIELD TRIPS THAT HIGHLIGHT SPECIAL BIRDING LOCATIONS IN AND AROUND THE KNOXVILLE AREA, and the birds that call them home. These field trips are ideal for birders of all skill levels, as long as you love our feathered friends. This month, we are exploring the winter birds right here at IJAMS! We are conducting our annual bird COUNT TO DOCUMENT THE MANY DIFFERENT BIRDS THAT CALL THE NATURE CENTER HOME. Join Naturalists as we explore the many bird hotspots at IJAMS ALL WHILE LEARNING HOW TO IDENTIFY BIRDS BY SIGHT AND SOUND. Who knows, you might even spot a bird that has never been seen at IJAMS BEFORE.   LOCATION This program meets at the IJAMS VISITOR CENTER.  REGISTRATION The fee for this program is $8 per person. REFUND POLICY Ijams awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to severe weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason.
