Grizzlies Code Camp Online 2020 - Introduction to Video Game Development Using Construct 3

PREREQUISITE: _NONE_ OVERVIEW  This is a beginner level class recommended for grades 5th - 12th that focuses on VIDEO GAME DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE Construct 3 [https://www.construct.net/en] environment, students who have done some level of programming or game design in the past are also eligible. Throughout the camp, you’ll learn how to implement common game mechanics and put them together to create well-rounded and exciting 2-D games! This course requires access to a laptop or desktop computer; if using a laptop, then a seperate mouse is highly recommended. CLASS DETAILS: * START DATE: June 15, 2020 * END DATE: July 17, 2020 * MEETING TIMES: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:00am-11:30am * LOCATION: ONLINE (Zoom information will be shared after registration closes) * STUDENTS: Open to all students entering grades 5 - 12 The cost of the summer program is free except a one-time administrative fee of $10 per student.   SUPPORTED BROWSER  CONSTRUCT 3 CAN RUN IN THE FOLLOWING BROWSERS:  * Google Chrome 57+ Other browsers that use the Chrome browser engine (Chromium), such as Opera and Yandex, providing they are updated to Chromium 57+  * Firefox 55+  * Safari 11+  * Microsoft Edge 16+  * _Construct 3 does not support Internet Explorer_. However in Windows 10 Microsoft replaced Internet Explorer with the Edge browser, which is supported from version 16+.
