The goal of the VANDERBILT DAY CAMP FOR THE YOUNGER PLAYERS (GRADES 1-5) is to teach BASEBALL FUNDAMENTALS IN A FUN AND ENERGETIC ATMOSPHERE. All players play an active role in camp and are continually involved in drills of all aspects. Participants will generally play in their own age group or grade level. However, we reserve the right to move a camper up in age groups, depending on his ability and skill. Families traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations. We have set up a first come first serve block with the newly renovated Holiday Inn VANDERBILT. NOTE: Housing is NOT provided in the camp rate. Campers are responsible for securing their own housing. Campers needing housing are recommended to stay at the Holiday Inn VANDERBILT, which is a 5 minute walk from Hawkins field. The reference code to the hotel block is BYC. You can call to secure a reservation up to 30 days prior to camp. Please note that the room block is subject to availability, and again, not included in the cost of camp.
