US Air Guitar Championships The 2019 US Air Guitar Championships are culminating in Music City USA! See Regional champs from across the country face off against defending national champions Mom Jeans (2017) and Georgia Lunch (2018), in a battle for the 2019 crown. The winner will represent Team USA at the Air Guitar World Championships in Finland. US Air Guitar is the official air guitar association of the United States, and is devoted to taking our nation’s unofficial pastime out of the bedroom and putting it up on the national and world stage. Founded in 2003, the US Air Guitar Championships is the only official national competition recognized by the Air Guitar World Championships. As such, US Air Guitar is also dedicated to advancing the larger purpose set forth by the Air Guitar World Championships: to promote world peace. According to the Finnish ideology of air guitar: “Wars would end, climate change stop and all bad things disappear, if all the people in the world played the air guitar.”
