Visitors can soak up the spirit of the season from the comfort of a
GATLINBURG TROLLEY WHEN THEY TAKE THE EXCITING GATLINBURG WINTER MAGIC
TROLLEY RIDE OF LIGHTS. The specially designated TROLLEYS CARRY THEIR
GUESTS ON A MEMORABLE JOURNEY THROUGH DOWNTOWN AND ADJACENT EAST
PARKWAY, allowing everyone to experience the MAGICAL WONDER OF
GATLINBURG WINTER MAGIC.Visitors can catch the trolley daily at 6:30
p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. from November 22 until December 31.
Trolley tours do not run on December 6, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve,
Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve.
After the holiday season, trolley tours will run on Saturdays at 6:30,
7:30 and 8:30 until January 25.
Beginning in 2019, visitors can enjoy Trolley Ride of Lights’ new
and exciting enhancements with their ticket purchase:
- A special costumed storyteller as your guide
- Complimentary cup of hot chocolate provided by Ripley’s Aquarium
of the Smokies
- Special Christmas token to show our thanks and commemorate your
experience on the Gatlinburg Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights
With these enhancements, the general admission price for Gatlinburg
Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights will increase from $5 to $10.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Gatlinburg Chamber of
Commerce Foundation and its commitment to providing local scholarship
awards and member educational programs.
Gatlinburg has converted its timeless winter lights program to
quarter-watt LED bulbs, replacing the 5-watt incandescent bulbs and
saving the City some 95 percent in energy waste.
