Level 1 Sketch 6-8pm Wednesdays with Bryan "Lubu" Roberts (starts January 8th)

In SKETCH 1 YOU'LL LEARN THE ESSENTIALS OF COMEDY SKETCH WRITING IN A WRITERS'-room environment that will sharpen your skills and help you find your own distinctive voice. You'll work on various types of SKETCH AND ALSO EXPERIMENT WITH USING IMPROV AS A SKETCHWRITING TOOL. Sketch 1 meets in the Back Room at ColdTowne Conservatory. THIS CLASS REQUIRES THE COMPLETION OF WEEKLY WRITING ASSIGNMENTS. CLASSES MEET ONCE A WEEK FOR EIGHT WEEKS. Originally from Huntsville, Tx, Bryan began his love affair with comedy in 2003, when he began writing and performing for Austin’s No Shame Theatre (He still does that too). Since then, he has appeared with several different sketch groups (Hoover’s Blanket, Coldtowne Mainstage) and improv troupes (Look Cookie, No Chaser). His most recent achievements include participation in the Institution Theater’s award winning “Fuck, It’s Hot!” sketch show. When not writing, he enjoys playing video games and exploring absurdist thought.
