Join In the Practice Host Kelly Krause and SXSW team members Amy Wanke and Brad Spies on Thursday, February 21 from 8am-9:30am at lululemon downtown as they get us excited for whats to come with SXSW 2019! Amy Wanke is the Director of Global Sales and Exhibitions at South By Southwest, where she leads a team of 30 domestic and international sales executives, account managers and fulfillment experts who help organizations successfully leverage the SXSW platform. Based on her personal passions, she has helped to create some of the most successful platforms of the event in the past few years including the SXSW Podcast Stage, the Wellness Expo, and the official SXSW International Women’s Day Celebration. Amy has been at SXSW since 2003, starting in the Registration Department and then working her way through the ranks of the Sales Department. Through that process she has turned a three-member sales team into a dynamic and robust staff guiding organizations to successfully engage the international audience at SXSW. Brad Spies is the Director of Special Projects at SXSW, overseeing strategic partnerships & relationships. He also manages SXSW's operational partnership with the City of Austin, and is involved in numerous initiatives surrounding music venue preservation. Previously he worked at the William Morris Agency packaging television shows. He lives in South Austin. Please arrive early to accomodate parking & seating. You can find minimal parking in the lot next to our store, as well as street parking along 6th and also on Baylor.
