2020 Race for the Greatest 2 Mile, 8K, 24K –Austin

2020 Race for the GREATEST 2 MILE, 8K, 24K*This is a virtual race!   On January 26, 2020 the world lost one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Kobe Bryant, and his beautiful daughter, Gianna.  Our love and prayers go out to the family members of everyone that was lost.  Kobe was definitely a girl dad and loved his daughters so much.  On the court he was a true legend and to his family he was an amazing father.  To honor Kobe and Gianna, we are hosting a Race for the Greatest and invite you all to dedicate a run or walk to their memory. You can choose to do 2 Miles (Gianna’s number), an 8K (which is 4.97 miles) or a 24K (which is 14.91 miles).  We are devastated by their deaths and hope to bring honor to them by doing what we do best: running and walking and raising money for a great cause.  The medal also includes seven hearts to honor Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, Keri Altobelli, John Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser and Ara Zobayan, the other passengers, and pilot, that lost their lives and whose families are also grieving at this time.  * Our Race for the Greatest race can be completed anytime between May 1st (Gianna’s birthday) and August 23rd (Kobe’s birthday). * You choose which distance you want to complete:  2 Miles, 8K or 24K * Great for all ages * We’ll be donating at least 34% of each registration fee to After School All-Stars [https://afterschoolallstars.org/who-we-are/].
