PERIODONTAL UPDATE FOR THE GENERAL DENTIST - DR. DEBORAH FOYLE Course
Summary:
In 2017, the American Academy of Periodontology held a joint symposium
with the European Federation of Periodontology to review the status of
periodontal classification which is necessary to properly diagnose and
treat patients. This workshop was attended by world leaders in
clinical periodontics and in periodontal research. This updated
classification system was released in the summer of 2018.
This course will review the classification of periodontal and
peri-implant diseases and conditions, taking into account the
etiology, pathogenesis and natural history of these diseases and
conditions.
COURSE PRESENTER:
DR. DEBORAH FOYLE is a Clinical Associate Professor and the Director
of the Predoctoral Program in the Department of Periodontics. She
received her dental degree in 1982 from Trinity College Dublin,
Ireland. In 1991, she received her Master of Science in Periodontology
from the Royal London Hospital Medical College, University of London.
She received her certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science in
Oral Biology from the Texas A & M University in 2005. Dr. Foyle is a
Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

* The basics of periodontal and systemic health
* What are the best methods available for diagnosing and treating the
Endodontically and Periodontally Compromised Teeth.
* To present future perspectives for tissue regeneration
* Review and understand how to classify periodontal disease
* Standard of care treatment protocol

also invited to attend as it is an excellent periodontal review course
