10TH ANNUAL DR. TOM MATTHEWS LECTURE  _ENHANCING YOUR CLINICAL EFFICIENCY_ Featuring  DR. RENATO P. MARTINS  Course Objectives:    The course objectives are to simplify biomechanics and show how better mechanics can be used to enhance clinical efficiency.  The first portion of this course uses scenarios to apply mechanical concepts to various clinical situations. The scenarios include the correction of rotations, molar distalization with miniscrews, molar intrusion and archwire deflections.  The second portion of the course focuses on mechanically based pearls that could change the way you treat patients. The pearls pertain to early tranverse and verticle corrections, use of chain and intermaxillary elastics with light wires, molar uprighting, friction control, the optimal use of nickel-titanium's mechanical properties, the logical choice of prescription, and diagnosis based on upper incisor position.   CE Credits:  8 hours of LECTURE AGD CODES:  370 ORTHODONTICS, 371 DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT PLANNING   -------------------------   CLASS OF 2018 MASTER’S THESIS PRESENTATIONS:   DR.
