LEVEL 1 MINIMAL SEDATION PERMIT RENEWAL COURSE (FRIDAY) MARCH 23, 2018
COURSE SUMMARY: This program satisfies Rule 110 by the Texas State
Board of Dental Examiners requiring that all practitioners, in order
to keep their Enteral Sedation permit current, document successful
completion of a continuing education course every two years.
COURSE PRESENTER:
DR. DAVID GROGAN: Is an Associate Professor and Chairman in the
department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Pharmacology here at
Baylor College of Dentistry. He graduated from Baylor in 1981 and
received an MSD degree in Oral Surgery in 1986. He is a Diplomate of
the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. After completion
of his residency training, Dr. Grogan entered private practice as an
Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon in Waco, Texas. He was an important
participant in designing the new sedation and emergency guidelines for
Texas dentists, on behalf of the Texas State Board of Dental
Examiners. In 2003 & 2010, Dr. Grogan was voted “Teacher of the
Year” by the undergraduate dental students. The teaching methods
used for this program will include lecture and case scenarios with
question and answers from the participants.

PRE-REQUISITES: Prior completion of the Initial Permit Two Day
course is mandatory. This program is a renewal and review for those
already licensed with the Texas Dental Board for Level I anesthesia.

canceled by the Office of CE. A $50 fee will be assessed for any
course cancellation. All payments by check or cash are deposited
into the Texas A&M account and CANNOT be refunded. “No Shows”
for a course forfeit all tuition. Confirm notification of
cancellation by e-mail.The CE Office cannot be held responsible for a
non-refundable airline ticket.
