punishing hills and challenging competition, the Bearathon is known
regionally as the toughest half in Texas. However, the race exists
primarily to support students seeking a college education, as all
proceeds go directly to scholarships at Baylor University. More than a
race… participants run the Bearathon for a variety of reasons; to
stay fit, to honor a friend or family member, to cross an item off a
bucket list or to run for a cause that’s important to them.
Whatever your reason, your participation in the Bearathon has a
direct, positive impact on the lives of Baylor Students. Part of
each participant’s registration is donated to the Baylor Student
Foundation’s Scholarship Fund, which benefits deserving students
pursuing their passion at Baylor University. When you run the
Bearathon, you don’t just run for your goals, you also run for
theirs as well. The course of the Bearathon starts and finishes at
McLane stadium and will highlight Baylor’s campus, downtown Waco,
Cameron Park and the Brazos river. It will provide a scenic and
challenging course for participants. LESS
