A Little Progesterone Anyone?

When hormonal birth control hit the markets in 1960 it erupted a cacophony of conversation regarding the proposed lewdness of women. Our wonton desires would no longer be stifled by fear of pregnancy or fear of a bad reputation and indeed the 1960s are classified as a decade of sexual revolution. So maybe... you re welcome? Somewhere along the way we forgot to ask other questions: What are the long term effects to our bodies? How might these hormones change our thought process? Do I understand the way hormones work? Do we truly have informed consent when accepting birth control side effects? What other options are there? These are the questions we anticipate answering in this meetup group. Be sure to have listened or read the material before joining us. It will help you stay in the loop! 3rd. Feel free to arrive early and grab a snack or beer, wine! 4th. We keep a sign up before the meetup and about 30 mins into the meeting. You’ll see a group of women gathered together, majority with masks on, chatting it up! 5th. A typical meetup looks like this: An icebreaker question just to introduce yourself. Genteel banter about the icebreaker or uproarious laughter (hey! It happens) And the hostess throws out questions to incite conversation! Conversations continue until 8 or 9. 6th. Sometimes we finish early and sometimes we go until 9. No one is obligated for any length of time. 7th. See you soon!
