Intro to 3D Printing

In this class, we will go over what you need to get started in 3d printing, some of its many applications, and how to finish a 3d print! Each student will have an opportunity to practice each step in the finishing process of a 3d print which they will then be able to take home to practice with after the class. We will cover removing support material, sanding, and painting. Make sure you're wearing clothing you don't mind getting a teeny bit dirty (we won't be making a big mess, I promise) and bring your sanding arms! This class is entry-level. 

Class Difficulty:

Entry: Anyone, no matter their skill level, can take the class.
Newbie: Has completed a sewing project or a similar project within that medium.
Intermediate: Has completed multiple projects of varying difficulties, but lacks certain knowledge and techniques.
Advanced: Is ready to learn just about anything and is ready to pick up a new skill!

Cosplaying since 2001, AlpacaAsh is a 3D video game artist who loves creating cosplay using sewing, embroidery, and 3D printing. She started competing in 2013 and went on to represent the United States in the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Japan in 2015. She and her teammate placed 3rd overall and won the Brother award for best craftsmanship. More recently, AlpacaAsh has started creating video tutorials. She loves running panels, teaching, and sharing knowledge! Cosplay is for everyone and she wants to make crafting for everyone who wants to try it.
