EcoRise: Student Grants and Design Thinking: Houston

Empower your STUDENTS TO SOLVE SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGES ON YOUR CAMPUS, through scientific inquiry, eco-audits, and STUDENT DRIVEN GRANT FUNDS FOR GREEN CAMPUS PROJECTS. We'll use ECORISE'S DESIGN STUDIO ACTIVITIES TO STRENGTHEN CRITICAL THINKING AND PROBLEM-solving skills, explore exemplar STUDENT PROJECTS, and complete a mock eco-audit grant application. THINKING ABOUT GUIDING YOUR STUDENTS THROUGH AN ECO-audit or applying for an ECORISE GRANT? This workshop is for you.  This training is free and open to all HOUSTON AREA K-12 TEACHERS (new and experienced EcoRise teachers welcome). Please bring a laptop and a personal water bottle for use (to reduce single use plastic waste). Teacher in attendance will have access to ECORISE’s Sustainable Intelligence Program which includes K-12 STEM based, standards aligned curriculum, training/support, and access to our STUDENT INNOVATION FUND FOR STUDENT PROJECTS. _LUNCH AND PD CREDIT PROVIDED._ Questions?
