We are putting our mental energy into thinking about so many things,
worrying, or solving problems. Sometimes it can feel a little
overwhelming. You know the feeling, the one that makes you think “I
need a break from this all”. How do we get a break? Especially right
now, there are so few places to go. How can we feel free from all our
mental busy-ness. How can we stop our worries and solve our problems?
Let’s start by working on the mental agitation that accompanies all
of our problems. Every time we face a problem we also face an
unpleasant feeling. Understanding our experience is important because
we need to know where to put our energy. If we solve the problem but
don’t deal with the unpleasant feeling, then we can continue to
suffer. Learning how to approach life with a peaceful mind means that
we can reduce our suffering even as we face unwanted situations. We
can learn to make the most of difficulties. In short, we can end up
happier, regardless of how our circumstances are unfolding! Buddha
explains how to accomplish all of these results. But we do need to
know the methods; then we can definitely accomplish the results. In
this day course, learn Buddhist methods to develop a wise, logical
approach to dealing with difficult and overwhelming situations and
find greater peace of mind regardless of what arises in your life.
