The WORKSHOP WILL START WITH AN INTRODUCTION TO THE HISTORY OF COFFEE.
From the legendary goat that discovered COFFEE IN ETHIOPIA TO THE
FIRST COFFEE SHOP
A cup of coffee is the result of 3 characters: the farmer, the
roaster, and the barista.
We will have a glimpse of the coffee journey from bean to cup (i.e.
the coffee tree, fruit, and the process).
After this quick introduction, we will explore the importance and
impact 'roasting' has on the quality of the coffee and what
differentiate specialty coffee. In order to develop your coffee, we
will perform a "cupping" - Cupping is a professional procedure used to
taste and assess coffee. It provides a consistent approach for
evaluating a coffee's quality. This tasting will widen your horizon on
what is your preferences and how coffee from different countries
differs.
The second part of the workshop will be focused on the barista's role.
I will introduce different different methods of home brewing and teach
you how to make coffee like a pro by sharing you all the explaining
and science behind.
Finally, we will end up with a short Q&A session where I will make
sure you have all the tools and knowledge you need to make excellent
coffee at home.
