The Landing & Salvation Army are hosting this free training presented
by K.D. Roche, a speaker, author, & survivor of childhood exploitation
and trafficking. Join us at the Children's Assessment Center as we
learn together. Topics will include: "Family Controlled Trafficking:
Identifying Red Flags and Distinguishing Dynamic Differences" and
"Trafficking in the LGBTQ+ Community: Identifying Needs & Addressing
Challenges in Service Provision." Snacks will be provided. Free
parking available at the CAC. More about K.D.: K.D. Roche is a field
expert on the subject of human trafficking with lived experiences as
both a sex and labor trafficking survivor. Roche provides
recommendations and input to inform research, policies, and programs
that work to combat human trafficking and provide services to
survivors. They have worked with law enforcement, health care
professionals, and social and government organizations such as the
Office of Trafficking in Persons and the Office of Women’s Health at
the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Their areas of
training expertise include serving LGBTQ+ populations, trafficking in
rural areas, and family-controlled trafficking. K.D. also provides
personal and professional development coaching for trafficking
survivors and budding entrepreneurs. K.D. is an engaging teacher,
keynote speaker, spoken word artist and comedian. You can read their
